HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL
The school was established in 2001 by the TVS Educational Society, to provide an excellent education to the children of Tiruvannamalai.
The vision of the founder was to create a school with an open and free learning environment where students grow to be intelligent, reflective, sensitive and caring individuals. A group of enlightened educators inspired and supported the founder to realize and sustain this vision.
The school began with the Montessori-based learning program. Over the years, buildings were added, as the school expanded to include the Primary, Middle and Secondary sections and the number of students grew. The school has been landscaped with trees which are native to the area, in order to create a sanctuary for birds and insects and we hoped it would serve as a living laboratory for our students. We have chosen to remain as a single section school of 450 students, with over 40 teachers to ensure that each child is attended to and cared for.
The school has attracted dedicated teachers from the Tiruvannamalai community, who consider the school as their home. Over 350 students have passed out from the school since its inception. The school is today supported by an ever-growing and enthusiastic group of alumni and parents.
